For centuries Indian Brides have decorated their skin with intricate and beautiful designs in Henna for their wedding day. These designs would include symbols for love, happiness and prosperity. They would also incorparate their Groom's name or initials. The Groom would then explore the intricate designs on the wedding night to seek his name.

Q'ar body artists now offer a modern twist to this age old custom, combining both traditional and contemporary designs to bring you the Glamour and Romance of this Historic artform.

Our artists consult with each client to create an exclusive design. The design is then piped onto the skin using handmade cones, made by the artists, filled with the medium of the client's choice.

For a traditional religious or civil wedding we specialise in Jewel Effect and Coloured Bodypaints that can last all day and simply wash off. These are also ideal for Hen Nights, Birthday Parties, Fayres, Promotional Events and Merchandising.

We also use traditional Henna which stains the skin a deep reddish brown lasting for 2-3 weeks, and Indigo or Woad (an ancient skin stain) that produces a blue stain lasting 2-3 days.

We are currently developing a range of coloured body stains based around henna, designs of which will be available soon.

From delicate, elegent flowers to bold Celtic Symbols Q'ar will produce a design to delight and astonish for any occasion.
